Stacy Tornio has spent her career working across media—from serving as editor of Birds & Blooms magazine to contributing to major outlets like HGTV and Treehugger. She is the author of more than 20 books, spanning children’s literature, gardening, national parks, and family activity titles.

Now, Stacy leads Be a Good Human, an independent publishing company creating books and games that are interactive, hands-on, and screen-free.

Her journey as an author began in college, when she took a children’s writing class alongside her journalism studies. Many stories (and rejections) later came her first book, Cathy’s Animal Garden. This launched a lifelong passion for writing and publishing. She is represented by Uwe Stender of Triada US Literary Agency.
